Night Out

A fun picture heavy post of my party-outfit for you, guys! There's not much to say except: enjoy!

Get Creative

Hey guys, check out how I transformed my old earrings! The stone on one of them was gone, so I wasn't wearing them. I saw a video on Youtube by Andreaschoice called "DIY Dip Dye Accessories" and was really inspired. Please go check out her channel, she's amazing! Anyways, I had lots of time on my hands and decided to grab my old jewellery and colour it. This post will be a tutorial on how I acheived this on my earrings, a bracelet and a necklace, enjoy! 

You will need: 

When you got your supplies ready, cover your surface with some paper. Afterwards, cut up the sponge in about 4 stripes. I later found that I only need half a strap for each colour, so I cut them up again and ended up with 8 peaces. When you get that far, you're pretty much ready to colour your stuff. If you have something that you only want partially dyed, tape up the rest like I did here:

Another Pro Tip: If you want different colours on one piece, you don't have to make marks on the jewellery itself. Simply lay it down and divide it in however many sections you want. Mark the sections on your paper and occasionally lay the piece against them to keep track. That way each colour gets about the same area on your accessory.

Okay, now you're all ready! Simply pour some nailpolish onto your sponge and dap it carefully on your accessory. Remember though: If you're doing an ombré- overlap of colours, do not start dabbing where the previous colour stops. For example, look at my bracelet- we have orange next to green. When the orange colour was layd down, I did not start with green at its edge. Start dabbing at the middle of the area, because that's when you have the most colour on your sponge. Basically, go from the middle outwards.
Also, if you have a fancy manicure that you don't want to ruin, you might want to wear some thin gloves. I got some tiny splashes of polish on my nails, for instance.

The finished products: 

I painted the dots directly with the nailpolish brush. I also layed over a piece of cotton over the top and taped it. When I was done patting the sides, I took off the cotton-protection and repainted the edged the sponge didn't get to.

March Favorites & Reviews

These are my beauty favorites and news for March/April, folks. As you can see, I love things that smell good. Let me tell you that this showerfel from Dove in the scent *goes to bathroom to check* blue fig and orange blossom, smells fantastic. It's a fruity, summery scent and I absolutely recommend it! Also, the Marc Anthony shampoo you see here, smells very strongly like vanilla or at least a warm scent. I think you'll either love it or hate it, check in the store if you can. Besides the scent, which I adore, it leaves your hair feeling like you just applied conditioner! It's also sulfate free, which has become more and more important to me lately.

 

This moisturiser is amazing for drier skin. It almost feels like a primer when I've applied it. Unfortunately, mine is all empty.. I absolutely recommend it, because of the results and the affordable price. 

So, the maybelliene Fit Me Foundation Stick. You'd think it's harder to smooth over the skin since it's a stick, but I assure you the texture is unique. It glides on in a thin layer and feels like a primer. I find it pretty buildable and it does not require alot of powdering. I personally love to apply my cheeck products directly on top of my foundation, since they last longer that way. They have something to stick to, and when I then powder over everything, it blends and looks really natural. The lasting power, though, is not that good. About 3 hours tops for me, without primer. 

The L'oreal Radiance Revealing Scrub attracted me, because of the fresh colour and scent. I'll take everything that makes my mornings less horrid, so I though a nice citrus-scented facewash would be nice. As you can see, though, the product itself was clear. I must admit, I was rather dissappointed and the words "false advertising" didn't leave my mind. It's a very nice scrub, though. I use it in the mornings or evenings, not both. In my head it doesn't make sense to moisturise dry skin without exfoliating it first, otherwise you're just applying product on dead skin.

Cinnamon

Just a post about my "new" hair and what specific hairstyles I had in mind when I highlighted it. I really tried hard to take good pictures, meaning that I focused more on the photography this time. They were taken with the help of my trusty tripod and in daylight, which is rare! I really hope you enjoy them and maybe get inspired, guys. Thank you so much for staying tuned! My February

As you can see, I rediscovered my love for 60's aesthetics. My hair was still as you know it at that point. 

I've changed it a little now! Because I couldn't make an appointment with my hairdresser for weeks, I decided to simply buy an ombre-kit and do it myself. I didn't ombre my hair though, I lightened the top part in a quiet natural-looking way. I wasn't going for stripy highlights. The result made me personally very happy, and today I got a haircut as well. As you can see, it's only slightly shorter, but has alot more shape and a nicer fall to it.
